Connor Adams

Connor Adams is a London-based AI and software engineer and the creator of Remobi, an open-source mobile interface for supervising coding agents inside existing terminal sessions. His work helps developers monitor, redirect, and review autonomous coding tools from a phone without abandoning their established environments.

In 2020, Adams created Lockbot after colleagues repeatedly overwrote one another’s deployments in a shared development environment. Built with TypeScript, AWS, and serverless infrastructure, the Slack application lets teams reserve shared resources through locking commands. His guide to mise subsequently explained portable runtime and tool-version management; he authored the guide, not the upstream mise project. Microsoft also credited his contribution to the Visual Studio Code isort extension in 2024.

Adams introduced Remobi at AI Engineer Europe 2026, where he appeared as an independent AI and software engineer. Its design reflects three practical convictions:

• Preserve the existing terminal workflow. Remobi connects to running tmux sessions, keeping panes, shortcuts, code-review tools, and system monitors intact. Its progressive web app translates those controls into configurable buttons and touch gestures across iOS and Android.
• Keep coding-agent supervision provider-independent. Working through the terminal lets developers oversee Claude Code, Codex, and other agents without relying on provider-specific mobile clients or manually transferring sessions between devices.
• Treat remote-terminal access as security-critical. Remobi runs locally and depends on external access controls; Adams recommends Tailscale, with Cloudflare Tunnel or ngrok as alternatives. Exposing the service publicly would expose the underlying terminal.
