Steven Moon

Steven Moon is the founder and chief executive of Aech AI, building enterprise agents that operate within companies’ existing security boundaries. His approach gives automated workers identifiable accounts, limited permissions, administrative oversight, and access through familiar tools such as email.

From industrial technology to enterprise agents

Moon studied electronic engineering technology at Red River College and worked across electronic hardware, software, power systems, hydrogen fuel cells, and large-scale batteries. At Corvus Energy, he led software development involving marine energy-storage systems.

In 2017, Moon and Eric Enno Tamm spun out ThisFish, a seafood-traceability company. As co-founder and chief technology officer, Moon helped create ThisFish Tally, which replaced processors’ fragmented paper records and spreadsheets with digital production, quality-control, and traceability data. In January 2020, he became chief product officer at Exro Technologies, applying his embedded-systems and energy-storage experience to electric-motor technology.

Moon began exploring generative AI for business operations in 2023 and founded Aech AI in 2024. Early experiments with conventional assistant interfaces led him toward an email-based enterprise assistant: software operating through communication systems employees already use and organizations already govern.

Enterprise AI without a parallel security stack

• Security inherited from existing infrastructure. Moon deploys privacy-first enterprise agents within private-cloud environments and established platforms including Microsoft 365, Azure, and Active Directory, preserving existing identity management, compliance controls, and audit systems.

• Digital employees with bounded authority. Administrators provision agents through familiar tools, assign least-privilege agent identities, restrict their data access, and monitor their activity alongside other enterprise accounts.

• Email as an auditable coordination layer. Agents can receive assignments, exchange information, and coordinate tasks through existing inboxes, producing auditable agent-to-agent communication governed by established permissions and records.

Moon’s AI Engineer Summit presentation extended this architecture beyond Microsoft: comparable patterns can work with Google Workspace and other enterprise platforms, embedding automation into trusted operational systems without requiring a separate portal or credential stack.
